Hi dear friends. I would like to ask for your help in praying for my dad. I just found out today that he experiences pain when urinating and that there has been blood in his urine. I find this very alarming. He is not really weak but he is not very well. Please help me pray for his healing. I don’t really know if there’s something wrong with his kidneys but by the blood of Jesus and in His name, help me pray that it is not really something very serious. Thank you.
One of our senior pastors before just passed away.
Just a little history, our church was founded by two great persons, Rev. & Mrs. Daniel Cabiles. They have actually retired not so long ago because of old age but if they could, they would continue to visit our church. They were really awesome people. :)
A couple of days ago, I learned that Mrs. Cabiles passed away and it didn’t really sink in just yet. Last night, we went and visited them and I saw her for the first time in quite a long time. Still, it didn’t sink in. It was as if she was peacefully sleeping and the reality of her being gone still didn’t occur to me. But just a while ago, as my mom was telling the story of how she died, that was when it occurred to me that she can’t be here anymore. I wasn’t really very close to her but she was close to my heart. She was somehow strict, but I always was amazed of her, most especially her God-given talents & wisdom, and she was just really a good & kind person.
I wish I got to see her before she passed away just to let her know that I did appreciate her and that she had a special place in my heart.
I believe that I am made for greater things than this Greater things than what I’m doing I am made for greater things I believe that I am called for such a time as this To make a difference in this world That they may know the coming king I believe
“Here’s one other little tip that I use. If I pick a verse or a couple of verses or a paragraph, I’ll put it on a piece of paper and I’ll carry it here in my shirt pocket. And at little times during the day, I’ll pull it out and read it for my soul. For my soul! I don’t memorize verses that don’t help my soul. I’m not into mechanical memorizing. I’m into fighting the fight of faith. I want to memorize Scripture so that I can defeat the devil at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, that’s why! It’s so that I can minister to a saint in the hospital at 10 o’clock at night if I’ve forgotten my Bible. This is for our soul. So I carry it around and I review it. Review is so crucial.”—John Piper, on the memorization of Scriptures (via aaronfeeney) — I AM SO PLANNING TO DO THIS! :)))
